Our diabetes web pages are written and edited by a physician and a registered nurse who have been dealing with type 1 diabetes for over 30 years. We hope that our insights into the fine details of the management of type 1 diabetes help others more effectively deal with this disease.
Childhood Diabetes and Wellness, cdw.eu, will initially contain the same information as diabetes-center.eu, information that is relevant to all patients with diabetes. At this time we are particularly interested in hearing about problems that children with diabetes may be having at school, or other controlled situations. We continue to hear reports that children are being denied the right to do blood glucose testing at school. Sometimes teachers forbid children to consume glucose tablets to treat hypoglycemia. These restrictions, which are bred by ignorance, must be eliminated for the sake of the health and wellbeing of our children.
